Deborah Rose Guy was born on May 28, 1967 and died on Monday, March 7, 2016 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks in the presence of loving family and friends. Deborah Rose was born on May 28, 1967 at Devils Lake, ND, the daughter of Ordelle Guy. Deb attended school at the Little Flower School, St. Michael and also Warwick Public School. Deborah worked at Sioux Manufacturing Corporation for one year and Community Nourishment for Mind and Body for many years. Deborah Rose loved watching LMN (Lifetime Movie Network), the cooking channels and older Western movies. She loved playing cards and doing word puzzles. She especially loved spending time with her High School sweetheart, Russell, her children Eldwin and Rochelle and her special grandson, Brayden. Spending time with her many dear friends and relatives was also very special to Deborah Rose. Deborah is survived by her loving family. Her special companion of 29 years Russell Smith; son Eldwin Guy; daughter Rochelle Guy; special grandson Brayden; nieces Denise Paul, Dana Guy, Amber Gourd, Samantha Baer, Dana Baer, Marissa Baer, Demery Guy and Alicia Guy; nephews Terrance Paul, Donovan Paul, Rock Baer Jr., Derrick Guy, Eddie Alcalan, Jose Guy, David Guy and Anthony Guy; uncles Adrian Guy and Jerome Guy; special uncle Victor Peoples; cousins Sherry Guy and Tammy Greywater; special cousin Bonnie Jerome. Debbie was welcomed home by her loving family. Her mother Ordelle Guy; sons Edison Guy and Gideon Guy; grandparents Gideon and Alice (Waanatan) Guy; uncles Gerald Guy Sr., Donray Guy Sr., Ronald Guy, Vincent Peoples, Eugene Peoples, Melvin Peoples, Wilfred Peoples, LaVern McKay and Elmer White Sr.; grandmas Virginia Peoples, Virginia Vaulters, Angeline LaCroix and Mae Gourd Whiteman. A Wake will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at the Tokio Wellness Center, Tokio, ND with a Rosary and Prayer Service at 8:00 p.m. with Father Paul Schuster officiating. The procession to Tokio will leave at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday from City Plaza in Devils Lake. Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Monday, March 14th at 2:00 p.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, St. Michael, ND with burial in St. Michael’s Cemetery. Casket Bearers for Debbie will be Anthony Guy, Terrance Paul, Duane Guy, Alfred Jackson, Daniel RedRoad and Gabe Smith. Honorary Bearers will be Gene Paul, Laurie Smith, Laura Smith, Robert RedFox, Synthia Longie, Kara Longie, Mary Ann Rue, Duane Rue, Glenn Rue Jr., Lincoln RedRoad, Thaddeus DeMarce Jr., Thaddeus DeMarce Sr., Solomon LeftBear, Chrystal LeftBear, Nicole Longie, Yvonne Thompson, Tennyson BlueShield and Belinda Bear, Corrine Brown and Family, Flo and Kenneth Dunn, Janice Feather and Family, Violet Smith and Family, Angie Feather and Family, Bonnie LeftBear and Family, Amy Brown and Family, Holly Brown and Family, Jason Thompson and Family, Vonnie and Virgil Feather and Family, Lois Leban and Family, Geraldine RedFox and Family, Joan and Troy RedFox, Mona LeftBear and Family, Alden and Kris Guy, Sharon and Albin Georgeson, Julie and Roland Johnson and the BlueShield Family. Any Drum Groups are welcome to come and sing and share their music in memory of Deborah Rose.
