Eileen Regina, daughter of Bertram and Clara (Schraeder) Haus was born on November 28, 1939 at Calio, ND. She grew up in the Calio area, attended the local township School for several years and graduated from Egeland High School with the class of 1957. She continued her education at the Aaker Business School in Grand Forks. After completing her studies at Aaker, she worked for several years at Hanson Ford in Grand Forks.
Eileen was united in marriage to James Fiedler in July of 1960. They lived, worked and raised their family living in several towns in North Dakota including Bathgate, Calio, Minot and Cando. James died in May of 1988. Eileen’s number one priority was always family and she worked hard to provide for her family. She worked for several years at Rest Haven Manor in Cando and later as the Towner County Treasurer until retirement. For the past 3 years, Eileen has made Jamestown her home.
Eileen was always on the go as the busy Mom, taking kids to and from all their activities. She was involved in the school, community and her church. She was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Altar Society, where she was an officer and CCD instructor for many years. She enjoyed membership in the American Legion Auxiliary and several other community organizations. She was an avid reader, loved to travel, but spending time with her children and grandchildren brought her the greatest joy.
Eileen’s kids and grandkids were her pride and joy, her friends meant the world to her and she left us with grateful hearts for having her in our lives.
Eileen’s loving family includes her children Shari (Rick Guzman) Fiedler, Phoenix, AZ, Ronda (Bradley) Nottestad, Mandan, ND, Mark Fiedler, Jamestown, ND and Dale (Michelle Heisler) Fiedler, Cando, ND; six grandchildren Kellie (Steve) Nicola, Ross (Whitney) Nottestad, Samantha (Casey) Harkness, Chelsie (Taylor) Ritterman, Kallie (Michael) Marsh and Devin Heisler; six great grandchildren Leila, Tyleigh, Liam, Olivia, Paisley and Deklan; brothers Eugene (Catherine) Haus, Calio and Gilbert (Claraine) Haus, Starkweather, ND; sister-in-law Jean Haus, Grand Forks and many nieces, nephews and their families.
