In Loving Memory of Ricky Ray Olson Ricky R. Olson, 57 of Fargo formerly of Devils Lake, ND passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Sanford Health Center, Fargo, ND. Funeral Services for Ricky will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake, ND with Reverend Larry Thiele officiating. Visitation will be held at the Gilbertson Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and will continue on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Ricky will be laid to rest in the Devils Lake Cemetery. Ricky Ray, born October 11, 1958 was the son of Adolph and Evelyn (Reed) Olson. He was born, raised and educated in Devils Lake, North Dakota. For over 25 years, Ricky shared his life with Rose Joshua and they were the proud parents of 4 precious children, Richard, Christine, Joseph and Brian. Ricky attended the Job Corps Center in Custer, South Dakota where he took up the automotive trade. He then returned to the Devils Lake area to pursue his career in construction. Ricky later on joined the Union and moved his family to Fargo, North Dakota where he started working for multiple dry walling companies. Most recently he worked at the Fargo Dome, while still dry walling on the side. Ricky was a hardworking man worked who taught his children, family and friends many things. He worked every day until he was called home. He loved fishing, hunting, camping, playing pool while listening to classic rock and anything that had do to with outdoors. He had many hobbies but most of all he loved spending time with his loved ones. Ricky made many friends everywhere he’d go and he touched many lives. He’ll be deeply missed by his loved ones, friends and co-workers for his big heart. He survived by his children Richard Olson, Christine (Cody Devold) Olson, Joseph Olson all of Fargo, ND and Brian (Lisa Jackson) Olson of Fort Totten; nine grandchildren Zaiden, Autumn, Latisea, Anthony, Brian, K.J., Alyssa, Gabriel and Janae; mother of his children Rose Joshua of Grand Forks, ND; brothers and sisters, Ole (Marie) Olson, Devils lake, Sandra (Rodney Vickerman) Olson, West Union, MN, Randy (Linda) Olson, Devils Lake, Sonja (Richard) Desjarlais, Devils Lake and Sharon Olson, Devils Lake; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
