Richard “Bebe” Dean DeMarce, Sr., 52 of St. Michael, ND passed into the Spirit World, Saturday evening, April 9, 2016 at rural St. Michael.
A Wake for Richard will be held on Sunday, April 17, 2016 at St. Michael’s Recreation Center beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 8:00 p.m. The procession to St. Michael will leave on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. from City Plaza.
Funeral Services for Bebe will be on Monday, April 18, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. also at St. Michael’s Recreation Center with burial in the Native American Church Cemetery, rural St. Michael. Officiating will be Kris White and Kevin Brown Sr.
Serving as Active Pallbearers will be: Richard DeMarce Jr., Kevin Brown Sr., Owen McKay Sr,, Allen DeMarce, Eric Smith Jr., and Michael DeMarce.
Honorary Pallbearers will be all of Richard’s family and friends.
Richard Dean DeMarce Sr. also known as Bebe, was born at his home in rural St. Michael on November 1st, 1963 to Robert Guy Sr. and Veronica Thompson. He attended school at Ft Totten. He worked at DTI (Dakota Tribal Industries and the Spirit Lake Casino throughout the years.
Richard enjoyed a simple and quiet life. He loved to go hunting and fishing with his son Richard DeMarce Jr. He especially loved to attend the basketball games with his daughter Janessa DeMarce and spending time with her.
Richard DeMarce Sr was survived by his son Richard DeMarce Jr. (Gwendolyn Lenoir) and his daughters Janessa DeMarce and Doris Denne. His grandchildren Amari Fournier, Gordon Fournier Jr., Noah Fournier, MiYani DeMarce, Zoriah DeMarce, and ZayDen DeMarce; sisters Gloria Alberts, Sylvia (Eugene) Hale, Sandra DuMarce, Mary Elizabeth Guy and Rita Guy; brothers John Guy, DuWayne Guy, Robert Guy Jr., Shane Guy, Cody Guy and Michael Guy Sr. and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is proceeded in Death by his mother Veronica Thompson, father Robert Guy Sr., sisters Elaine DuMarce and Shelly Guy, brothers Leonard DuMarce and Albert Thompson, son Gordon Fournier Sr., uncles Zachary Thompson and Ambrose Thompson Jr., aunties: Lena Denne and Maryrose Foolbear.
If we forgot anyone it was not intentional. Richard “Bebe” DeMarce Sr. was a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He will be greatly missed.
