Skyler Wayne, oldest child of Wayne and Katrina (Armey) Comer was born on October 11, 2000 at Mercy Hospital, Devils Lake. He attended Head Start, Sweetwater Elementary School and a year at the Dietz Elementary School in Tucson, Arizona. When the family returned to Devils Lake he graduated from Central Middle School and was presently a freshman at Devils Lake High School. He played hockey as a young boy and thrived in the outdoors hunting and fishing in every season of the year. He enjoyed listening to music with R&B and Rap among his favorites. He never missed a chance to just “hang out” with his friends. Skyler’s kind and generous heart was lavished on his family and friends. His inner spirit was reflected in his love for drawing and writing. As the oldest sibling and cousin he was always there to defend, protect and be a role model for them. He did that through his humor, his politeness and gentle spirit. The “twinkle in Skyler’s eyes” would light up the room and warm the hearts of all those who knew and loved him. And how we love him and will miss him. Our hearts break, our tears flow but our love for Skyler is never ending. Skyler’s loving family include his parents Wayne and Katrina of Devils Lake; brother Colton Comer and sisters Hallie and Dalanie Comer; grandparents Joni (Larry Arnold) Halvorson, Tucson, AZ and Bradley Armey, Devils Lake; great grandparents Leon and Audrey Halvorson, Bothell, WA, James and Sharon Armey, Cando, ND and Gloria Armey, Crookston, MN; aunts and uncles Joseph (Teresa) Armey, Latia Hursch, Karen Comer, Rhonda Reiger, Christopher (Jenni) Eagleman, Cary (Jeff) McMahon, Nicole Solwey and Michael Leaf; godparents Darla and Cory Morstad; many cousins; great aunts and great uncles Loretta Fredrickson, Vickie (Keith) Hoggarth, Bruce Johnson, Daniel “Buck” (Karen) Greene, Patrick (Norma) Green, Danita Greene, Mark Greene, Laurie Oduyale, Shannon (David) Lore, Shawn Greene, Carol Winfield, James Comer, Linda Simmons, Alvin Paulson Jr., Debbie (Dave) Magram, Lori Bryant, Pam (Steve Vetter) Halvorson, Merrie Nass, Eugene (Lisa) Armey and Sharon Armey.
