SKYLER W. COMER

Skyler W. Comer, 15 of Devils Lake, ND passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Mercy Hospital, Devils Lake. Mass of the Resurrection for Skyler will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, St. Michael, ND with Father Paul Schuster celebrating the Mass. Skyler will be laid to rest in St. Michael’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. also at the church. The procession to St. Michael will leave at 10:00 a.m. from the Ranch Parking Lot. Skyler Wayne, oldest child of Wayne and Katrina (Armey) Comer was born on October 11, 2000 at Mercy Hospital, Devils Lake. He attended Head Start, Sweetwater Elementary School and a year at the Dietz Elementary School in Tucson, Arizona. When the family returned to Devils Lake he graduated from Central Middle School and was presently a freshman at Devils Lake High School. He played hockey as a young boy and thrived in the outdoors hunting and fishing in every season of the year. He enjoyed listening to music with R&B and Rap among his favorites. He never missed a chance to just “hang out” with his friends. Skyler’s kind and generous heart was lavished on his family and friends. His inner spirit was reflected in his love for drawing and writing. As the oldest sibling and cousin he was always there to defend, protect and be a role model for them. He did that through his humor, his politeness and gentle spirit. The “twinkle in Skyler’s eyes” would light up the room and warm the hearts of all those who knew and loved him. And how we love him and will miss him. Our hearts break, our tears flow but our love for Skyler is never ending.
