Arlene Klemisch

Arlene S. (Hilfer) Klemisch (1933 to 2016) Arlene was born in Solen, ND, on April 29, 1933 to Frank and Rose (Leingang) Hilfer. She was a long time resident of Langdon, ND and most recently of Devils Lake, ND. On September 20, 1954, Arlene Hilfer married Joseph Klemisch in Harvey, ND. They made their home in Langdon and together raised seven children. Arlene's door was always open, the coffee was always on. She will be forever remembered for her warm heart, hospitality and her deep religious faith. She cherished her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her children: Debbie Hazer of West Fargo, ND; Judy (Bob) Davis of Battle Ground, WA; Rita Klemisch of Lubbock, TX; Janice Johnson of Devils Lake, ND; Joann Klemisch, Langdon, ND; Alan (Robin) Klemisch of Chaska, MN; Rick (Abby) Klemisch of Tea, SD. 15 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. Her brothers, Don (Sharon) Hilfer of Las Vegas, NV; Frankie Hilfer of Reno, NV and her sisters Virginia Delva of Fruitland Park, FL; Leona O'Keefe of Daly City, CA and her "special" friend Marlys Klemisch. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Klemisch on September 4, 2010, her parents, an infant sister Mary Hilfer and son-in-law Ron Hazer. Arlene passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2016, in the care of Altru Hospice, at Eventide Heartland Care Center in Devils Lake, ND at the age of 83. She was surrounded by her loving family. A special thanks to Altru Hospice and Eventide Heartland Care Center for their compassion and care shown to Arlene. Funeral Services for Arlene will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake with the Very Reverend C.F. Wilhelm celebrating the Mass. Music will be provided by Patty Cote. Reading the Scriptures will be Arlene’s granddaughter Brittany Johnson and the urn bearers will be Arlene’s sons Alan and Rick Klemisch. Graveside services for Arlene will be held on Tuesday, August 16th at 2:00 p.m. at the Calvary Cemetery, Langdon, ND.
