Joel A. Wee, 53 of Fargo, ND passed away very unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at his home.
Joel Alan, son of Thomas and Rose Mary (Lang) Wee was born on August 24, 1963 in North Dakota. As a young child, he moved with the family to Seattle, Washington where he was reared and educated. He continued to call Seattle home where he worked as a certified auto mechanic and also worked construction in the Seattle area.
In 1995, Joel returned to North Dakota, living and working in various places throughout the state. At the time of his death he was employed with Miller and Sons Drywall in Fargo.
Even though working on cars as a mechanic was a job, it was also Joel’s passion. Anything to do with cars, driving them, fixing them, admiring the classics, that was a good day for Joel. But more than anything, Joel loved his family and they loved him. He will be in their hearts and memories forever.
He is survived by his loving family. His precious daughters Rachel (Tyler White) Wee, Minot and Sabrina Wee, California; granddaughters Theresa and Skye White; mother Rose Mary Wee, Devils Lake and sister Patricia Gerald, Devils Lake; aunts and uncles Linda and Alton Abrahamson, Maddock, ND, Eldoris and Ed Dosch, Walter “Tubby” Lang and Karin Lang all of Devils Lake and Patty Jean Wee, Kansas; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was welcomed home by his father Thomas Wee Jr.; sister and brother-in-law Kim Marie (Wee) and Ben Valles; grandparents Alice and Thomas Wee Sr. and Fred and Alvina Lang; uncles and aunts Donald Lang, Gerald Lang, Frank Lang, Richard “Butch” Lang, Omar and Alice Wee, Dick Wee, Jim and Helen Vasfar and Bonnie Jean Lang; cousins Sheryl Ann Lang, Tasha Rodlin, Ronald Wee and Debra Lang.
Visitation for Joel will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, December 7th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Devils Lake with the Very Reverend C.F. Wilhelm celebrating the Mass. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.
