Cathie Clarice Lunde

Cathie Clarice Lunde, daughter of Gordon and Esther (Haugen) Lunde was born on March 5, 1954 at Devils Lake, ND.  She grew up and was educated in Devils Lake, graduating from Devils Lake Central High School.  She continued her education and worked in Word Processing for several years.  Cathie made Devils Lake her home her entire life. She lived with her mother until Esther’s death in 2010.  They helped to care for each other as physical health declined for both of them.  They were “best friends” taking each day one at a time. Cathie was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church, the Sons of Norway and was a past president and enjoyed many of the activities of the Senior Center through the years.   Cathie is survived by her brothers Dennis Lunde and his wife Dianne of Colfax, Wisconsin and Darrell Lunde of Lino Lakes, MN; nine nieces and nephews and many great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Duane Lunde and Gene Lunde. Funeral Services for Cathie will be on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake with burial in the Devils Lake Cemetery.
