Carol A. Fawcett, 71 of Devils Lake, ND died on Sunday afternoon, March 2, 2008 at Heartland Care Center, Devils Lake.
A Memorial Service for Carol will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at 5:30 p.m. at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake with Rev. Marvin Winstryg, Pastor of First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Devils Lake Cemetery in the spring.
Carol Anne was born on March 20, 1936 at Devils Lake, ND the daughter of Dr. John and Clara E. (Schrag) Fawcett. She was reared and educated in Devils Lake, graduating from Devils Lake High School in the class of 1954. She attended Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri and later Ray-Vogue School of Design in Chicago. She moved to New York City and continued to study interior design at the Parsons School of Design and then worked for several years at Vogue Pattern Company. She returned to North Dakota and worked in interior design in Fargo. In 1970 she moved back to Devils Lake to care for her parents and continued to make this her home through the years. Carol was very active in school activities in her high school and college years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Although Carol led a simple, quiet life, her friendship and love was genuine and she will be greatly missed by those whose lives she touched.
She is survived by her nephews, William C. Fawcett of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina

Donald M. Fawcett of Wisconsin

Many cousins also survive.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. John Fawcett on September 21, 1975 and Clara Fawcett on November 19, 2000 and her brother, John W. “Bill” Fawcett.
