Michael J. Ellison, 23, of Devils Lake, ND formerly of Rugby, ND died early Thursday morning, March 17, 2005 as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident, rural Devils Lake.
Mass of Christian Burial for Michael will be held on Monday, March 21, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Devils Lake. Fr. Joseph Christensen will celebrate the Mass and burial will be in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Devils Lake.
Friends may call at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary and Scripture Service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation on Monday will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.
Serving as Pallbearers for Michael will be Christopher Ellison, Brandon Schmaltz, Steve Deplazes, Nate Berteram, Cullen Keller and Seth Gaugler
Reading the Scriptures will be Lindsay Ellison
Gift Bearers will be Ryan Nelson and Mike Ellsberry
Music will be cared for by JoDee Lagein and Lynne Webster.
Extraordinary Minister for the Mass will be Neil Pfeifer.
Michael James Ellison was born on March 28, 1981 at Grand Forks, ND, the son of Richard and Kathryn (Dineen) Ellison. He attended elementary school in Minnesota and graduated from Rugby High School in the Class of 1999. While in high school, he participated in football, basketball, track and golf. Mike currently attended the Minnesota State Community and Technical College in Wadena, Minnesota.
Michael was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Michael loved the outdoors. He especially loved to hunt and fish. But most important to Michael was time spent with his family and close friends.
His time with us was brief, but he touched the lives of many in a special way and will be missed so very much by all of his family and friends.
