Eva M. LittleGhost, 45 of St. Michael, ND began her spiritual journey early Tuesday morning, December 15, 2009 at her home in St. Michael.
Mass of Christian Burial for Eva will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Fr. Brian Moen and Fr. Charles Leute, OP will concelebrate the Mass and burial will be in St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery.
A Wake will be held at the Tekakwitha Center, St. Michael on Monday, beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary and Prayer Service at 8:00 p.m. The procession to the Tekakwitha Center will leave at 4:00 pm. on Monday from Wal-Mart.
Serving as Casket Bearers for Eva will be Richard “BJ” Demarce Jr., Angel Najar, Robert Little Jr., Joseph Little, Michael LittleGhost, Robert LittleGhost Jr., Wesley Bigtrack Jr. and Adam Laroque.
Honorary Bearers will be The Dialysis Nurses, CHR Drivers, Betty Flynn, Margie Brown, Sr. Frances Voight, Best Cousin, Noreen LittleGhost, Bingo Hall Staff, all the children she took care of, the two nephew’s Eva raised, B.J. Demarce and Ninyo Mendez, her special granddaughter, Miyani Demarce “Baby Girl”, her godchildren, B.J. Demarce, Ninyo Mendez and Winter Bigtrack.
Music will be provided by Tony and Vina McDonald, Clifford Littlewind, Eagle Tail Singers and any other drum groups wishing to share their songs.
Eva Marie LittleGhost, the loving daughter of Francis and Helena (Waanatan) LittleGhost, began her earthly journey on December 1, 1964 at Devils Lake, ND. She attended school at St. Michael’s Little Flower School. She worked at the Spirit Lake Hotel for a time but she especially enjoyed babysitting “the kids” of her dear family and friends.
Eva was diagnosed with diabetes when she was 23 years of age. It was an illness that changed her life in so many ways, but she always knew she had the love and support of her family in her fight to beat this illness. We have lost our beloved daughter, sister, auntie, cousin and dear friend Eva and our hearts ache, but she will be forever loved and missed by us all.
