SHELDON LEIGH GREENE

Sheldon L. “Tater” Greene, age 41, of Devils Lake ND, died Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND, surrounded by his family. Funeral Services for Sheldon will be held on Monday, November 9, 2009 at 10:00 am at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, St. Michael. Fr. Brian Moen will officiate and burial will be in St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery. The visitation for Sheldon will be held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church on Sunday beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 8:00 p.m. The procession to St. Michael’s Catholic Church will leave at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday leaving from Walmart. Serving as Casket Bearers will Arthur “Tony” Greene, Cory Greene, Robert Greene, Michael Greene, Wayne Comer and Damien Greene. Honorary Pallbearers are Alfred Herman and Drop Team Members & Tator’s many friends at Spirit Lake Casino. A special thank you to the staff of Mercy Hospital and Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. Your care and concern for our brother was greatly appreciated. God Bless You. Sheldon Leigh “Tater” Greene was born March 21, 1968 the son of Mary H. (Longie) and Daniel A. Greene Sr..at Mercy Hospital, Devils Lake, ND. He attended grade school at St. Michael and Ft. Totten and High School at Fargo North graduating in 1986. Sheldon was employed with Federal Beef in West Fargo, ND before moving to the Devils Lake area. He began working for DTI and for the past ten plus years, Sheldon worked at the Spirit Lake Casino. Sheldon enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching movies and listening to music. Sheldon is survived by brothers: Bruce Johnson, Daniel “Buck” (Karen) Greene, Patrick (Norma) Greene, Mark (Connie) Greene, Roger (Shirley) Greene, Eddie (Rhonda) Greene, Clarence (Pam) Greene, Shawn Greene and Robert Greene; Sisters: Loretta Fredrickson, Vicki (Keith) Hoggarth, Danita (Hank) Iyarpeya, Laurie (Ollie) Oduiale, Shannon (David) Lore and Maryanne (Herman “Cap”) Cavanaugh. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and their families also survive. Preceded in death by his parents and grandparents; brothers, Elwood Greene, Daniel Greene and David Greene; sisters, Leanna Wolfe and Judy Comer; special friend, Andrea Davis; nephew, Konrad Greene; brother-in-law, Gary Comer; sister-in-law, Mary Greene and several aunts and uncles.
