Doris M. Romine, 72 of Devils Lake, ND formerly of Rugby, ND died on Sunday morning, July 3, 2005 at her home.
Funeral Services for Doris will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, Devils Lake. Rev. Sue Mackey will officiate and burial will be in the Devils Lake Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with the family present from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Visitation on Thursday will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.
Serving as Casket Bearers will be: Jim Hunt, Don Froelich, I.F. LaFleur, Dean Hovern, Harry Phlaum and Alex Dettling.
Honorary Casket Bearers will be Doris’ Dear Friends of “Grandma’s Dart League”
Music will be provided by Tom Wade, Soloist and Lynda Pearson, Organist
Doris Meryl Argabright was born on October 14, 1932 in Rugby, ND the daughter of James Earl and Clara (Anderson) Argabright. She was reared and educated in Rugby, graduating from Rugby High School in the class of 1950. On August 27, 1950, Doris was united in marriage to Homer Romine at Rugby. They established their home in Rugby and through the years lived in many other places including Minot, Tioga, Stanley, Rolla, Lansford, Bottineau, Fergus Falls and Devils Lake. While living in Bottineau, Doris worked at the ASCS office and after moving to Devils Lake she worked for a time at the Daily Journal before establishing a partnership in Champeau Travel. She retired and sold the business in the early 1990’s after many years of hard work and dedication.
Doris was a member of First United Methodist Church and the VFW Auxiliar. She enjoyed playing cards and darts and doing crossword puzzles. She devoted her life to caring for her husband and raising her family.

Todd Romine and his wife, Tami also of Devils Lake
Susan Uhlenkamp and her husband, Brian of Rochester, Minnesota
Grandchildren: Jesse Romine, Elizabeth Uhlenkamp and Noah Uhlenkamp
Step Grandchildren: Matthew (Anne) Durbin, Trisha (Ben) Adamson, Heather (Brock) Libby, Christopher Durbin, Dane Garcia, Jared Garcia and Jordan Garcia
Step Great Grandchildren: Holly Durbin, Collin Durbin, Anna Adamson and Cameron Libby.
Sisters: Elaine Blakely and her husband, Mel, Seattle, Washington
Joyce Schmidt of Hesperia, California
She was preceded in death by her parents and twin brother, Donald Argabright.
