Richard Clifford Ahoe

Richard C. Ahoe, 59 of Devils Lake died on Saturday, March 17, 2007 at his home in Devils Lake. Funeral Services for Richard will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the Gilbertson Funeral Home Chapel, Devils Lake. Rev. Harold Ovre, Pastor of St. Olaf Lutheran Church will officiate and burial will be in the Devils Lake Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gilbertson Funeral Home on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Richard Clifford was born on June 22, 1947 at Devils Lake, ND the son of Clifford and Katherine (Grohs) Ahoe. He attended Sweetwater Elementary School and Central High School in Devils Lake. He worked for a time as a general laborer in the Twin Cities, Seattle, Washington and Fort Worth, Texas and moved back to Devils Lake 10 years ago, where he has since made his home. Richard was at one time married to Linda Myers. Richard’s hobbies included fishing and camping. He had a special interest in tropical fish and had several aquariums. He is survived by his children: Katherine “Kathy” Ahoe Richard Ahoe Jr. Alisia (John) Handt all of Minnesota Eleven Grandchildren: Samantha McCullen, Trisha, Shantel, April, Elizabeth, Erica, Jenna, Kelsie, Brook, Kayla and Cody Handt. Two Great Grandchildren: Elizabeth and Olivia Brother: Karl E. Ahoe, Devils Lake Sister: Lilliane (Ralph) Davison of Fort Worth, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford, his mother, Katherine Ahoe-Graham and brother, Ernest Ahoe.
