Kathryn Keller, 86, of Devils Lake, ND died early Tuesday morning, April 26, 2005 at Mercy Hospital, Devils Lake. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 29, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Devils Lake. Fr. Joseph Christensen will celebrate the Mass and burial will be in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gilbertson Funeral Home Chapel, Devils Lake on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary and Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation on Friday will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral Mass. Serving as Pallbearers will be: Rodger Haugen, Greg Troy, Jeff Lyon, Gerald Idland, Jr., Gerald Schwab and Tommy Schwab. Reading the Scriptures will be: Dennis Schwab Gift Bearers will be Judy Schwab and Ann Schwab. Kathryn Schwab was born on July 17, 1918 in Karlsruhe, North Dakota, the youngest of five children born to Sebastian and Clementina (Fleck) Schwab, Sr. She was reared and educated in Karlsruhe, Esmond, Ivan Consolidated School, rural Leeds. Kathryn first met Joseph Keller when she was 9 years old. They began dating when she was 19, fell in love and were united in marriage on September 15, 1941 in Devils Lake. They established their home in Devils Lake where they lived, worked and raised their family. Kathryn worked at National Tea, Super Value, Dottie Dunn’s Hat Shop, as a cook at the Knights of Columbus, Woolworth’s and the Bus Depot between the years of 1950 and 1982. Mr. Keller died on October 5, 2000. Kathryn was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Catherine’s Circle and the VFW Auxiliary. Kathryn is survived by her children: Patricia Idland and her husband, Gerald, of Devils Lake Joseph Keller Jr. and his wife, Bonnie of Bakersfield, California Grandchildren: Brenda (Joel) Camrin, Long Beach, CA Sandra (Jeff) Berkenkamp also of Long Beach Deanna (Robert) Munoz, Bakersfield, California Jeffrey (Lysa) Lyon, Puyallup, Washington Cheryl (Greg Troy) Lyon, Devils Lake Gerald (Deb) Idland, Jr., Avon, Minnesota Shane Idland, Shasta Lake, California Twenty Great Grandchildren Sister-In-Law: Babe Schwab, Devils Lake Many Nieces and Nephews also survive. Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe; sister, Barbara Gustafson; brothers, Sebastian Schwab, Jr., Dennis Schwab, Martin Schwab and Frank Schwab
