L. Bryan Thompson, 63, long time Devils Lake businessman died on Saturday afternoon, April 23, 2005 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND. Funeral Services for Bryan will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, Devils Lake. Rev. Marvin Winstryg will officiate and burial will be in the Devils Lake Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Visitation at the church will be one hour prior to the funeral service. L. Bryan Thompson was born July 22, 1941 in Minneapolis, Minnesota the son of Lowell and Mae (Hegland) Thompson. He was reared and educated in Fargo, North Dakota. Bryan graduated from Fargo South High School and North Dakota State University with a Degree in Pharmacy in 1964. He was noted for his love for big game hunting and fishing. He moved to Devils in the early 1970’s going to work for Bell Drug. In 1980 he purchased Ramsey Drug which he has since operated. Bryan was united in marriage to Cynthia Ann Eback August 31, 1975 in Devils Lake. She died November 5, 1990. Member of the First United Methodist Church and the Devils Lake Bowling Association. He was active in several Devils Lake Organizations and a supporter of the many school activities. Survived by Daughter and Son-In-Law: Elisa Ann and Jared Christensen of Devils Lake Sons and Daughter-In-Law: Chris Thompson and fiance’ Cheryl Kubik of Baxter, Minn. Jose and Christine Jerez of Miami, Florida Grandchildren: Codey Christopher, George Oscar Jerez, Cynthia and Spencer Thompson, Cassandra Ann Christensen and Kayla Kelly. Sister: Anita Elkamouny, Boston, Ma. Brothers-In-Law and Sisters-In-Law: Richard and Noelle Eback of Mandan, N.D. Terry and Susan Eback of Devils Lake, N.D. Ronald Eback of Devils Lake, N.D. Sisters-In-Law and Brothers-In-Law: Sharon and George Regan of Webster, N.D. Donna and Karrol Olson of Crary, N.D. Preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia; parents, Lowell and Mae Thompson; Father-In- Law and Mother-In-Law, John and Julia Eback; Daughter and Son-In-Law, Donna Mae and Michael Blaufuss. Honorary Pallbearers will be his fellow Pharmacists, Devils Lake Bowling Association Members, Dr. Thomas Corbett and Dr. Anthony Rayer. Active Pallbearers, Royce Caldwell, Steve Hamre, Mike Heilman, Dennis Freund, Julian Kostecki, Eddie Senger, Earl Reed and Eddie Huber.
