Robert Wallace was born on February 25, 1917 at rural Starkweather, ND the son of Robert and Myrtle (Fullerton) Wallace. He was reared and educated in the Starkweather area, attending Ramsey County country schools. He farmed with his Dad for several years and after his marriage to Olga Morseth on September 24, 1938 at Crookston, Minnesota they established their home on the farm at rural Starkweather and continued the farming operation. In 1962, Bob and Olga moved to rural Cando where they farmed for several years and Bob also operated his own trucking business for 16 years. Bob and Olga also operated various businesses in the surrounding area and in Cando for many years.
Bob was a member of the Eagles Lodge, former member of the Elks Lodge but above all he could proudly say he was a member of AA for over 54 years.
Bob had a great interest in horses and mules as they had been a part of his very early farming days with his father. He rode his mules and horses in many of the parades in the area and was eager to share his knowledge and love for the animals. He also restored stationary engines and had brought them to several threshing shows and community events for display.
Bob and Olga lived a quiet life, but a life of example of love and stewardship to the land, respect of the past and its hardships and challenges, love of family and friends and courage and strength for the future.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Olga
