Richard F. Perkuhn, 63 of Crary, North Dakota died on Saturday, April 30, 2005 at Mercy Hospital, Devils Lake. Funeral Services for Richard will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, Devils Lake. Donald Reynolds, Lay Pastor will officiate and burial will be in the Devils Lake Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Wednesday, May 4, 2005 from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 6:00 p.m. Visitation on Thursday will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. Serving as Pallbearers will be: Marvin Newgard, Jerome “Bucky” Joramo, Dean Fenster, Kenny Deplazaes, Steve Buchmeier and Jim Dimmler. Honorary Pallbearers will be all of Richard’s Friends and Family Reading the Scriptures will be Donna Johnson Music will be cared for by Mary Oehlke, Soloist and Lynda Pearson, Pianist Richard Fred Perkuhn was bornon December 3, 1941 at General Hospital, Devils Lake, ND the son of Fred and Margaret (Schmidt) Perkuhn. He was baptized at St. Peters Lutheran Church, Devils Lake and confirmed at Hope Church in Southam, ND. Richard attended the Noonan Township School. Richard was involved in farming, trucking and bartending throughout his life. He married Rosella Dosch in June of 1960 and lived on the family farm rural Crary. On February 18, 1974 he was united in marriage to Laverne Johnson and they made their home on the family farm where they have lived through the years. Richard enjoyed hunting, bingo, playing cards and visiting with his many friends and family. He is survived by his wife, Laverne Mother: Margaret Perkuhn, Devils Lake Brother: Roger Perkuhn and his wife, Cheryl, Southam, ND Children: Brenda (Randy) Nelson, Devils Lake Brian (Kim Hickey) Perkuhn, Devils Lake Bev (Mike) Bachmeier, Brocket, ND Sandy (Bill) Robinson, San Antonio, Texas Todd Perkuhn, Fort Collins, Colorado Daughter-In-Law: Misty Hillebrand of Devils Lake Grandchildren: Shannon (Tony) Drury Candi Perkuhn and Cayla Perkuhn Jerad Bachmeier and Bryan Bachmeier Haley Hillebrand and Cole Hillebrand Austin Robinson Great Grandson: Hunter Drury Brothers-In-Law: Jerry (Carol) Johnson Lynn (Donna) Johnson Sister-In-Law: Lanetta Olson Several Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins also survive. Richard was preceded in death by his father, Fred Perkuhn; son, Scott Perkuhn and granddaughter, Bobbie Jo Nelson
