Clements was born on May 22, 1922 at St. Leo, Minnesota, the son of Louis and Margaret (Roles) Bukowski. In 1928, he moved with his family to Munich where he was reared and educated, graduating from Munich High School in 1941. Clements was united in marriage to Florence M. Cornelison on July 21, 1943 at Munich, ND. They established their home on the farm in the rural Munich/Starkweather area where they lived, farmed and raised their family. They retired in 1983 and moved into Munich where they lived through the years. Florence died on June 7, 2001.
Clements was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and also served on the Trier Township Board for many years.
Clements had a love for the land he farmed most of his life. When he was no longer farming, he enjoyed doing yard work and gardening. He especially enjoyed growing tomatoes and cucumbers. Other enjoyable pastimes for Clements were fishing and going to the Casino. Clements kept up on current events by reading the daily paper from front to back. Clements love for his family was unquestionable and the past few years, Clements had made several trips to Arizona to see his children and grandchildren that lived there. Clements was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.
