Helen Nahinurk, 73 of Devils Lake, ND formerly of Jamestown, ND died on Tuesday evening, March 22, 2005 at the Heartland Care Center surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral Services for Helen will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Devils Lake. Rev. Justin Schmidt will officiate and burial will be in the Devils Lake Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visitation on Saturday will be at the church one hour prior to the service.
Serving as pallbearers will be Helen’s sons, Larry, Dwight, Lee and Curtis Nahinurk, grandson, Jeremy Nahinurk and brother, Russell Pulst
Music will be cared for Bonnie Gessner, Soloist and Mavis Blake, Organist
Helen Pulst was born on January 14, 1932, rural Starkweather, North Dakota the daughter of William and Edna (Paul) Pulst. She was raised and educated in Starkweather and graduated from Starkweather High School in the class of 1950. Helen was united in marriage to Joseph Nahinurk on October 27, 1950 in Devils Lake. They established their home northwest of Devils Lake where they lived through the years. Helen worked for a time at the Woolworth’s Store but devoted most of her life to caring for her loving husband and raising her wonderful family. Helen and Joe spent 2 ½ years living in Jamestown before returning to Devils Lake. Helen was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid.
Helen was an avid reader and also enjoyed doing embroidery. The time she treasured the most was time spent with her family.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; son, Kenneth; step-mother, Florence Pulst; brothers, Chester, Elmer and Harold Pulst.
