Adel Will, 94 of Devils Lake, ND died on Friday evening, November 25, 2005 at the Heartland Care Center surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral Services for Adel will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Devils Lake. Rev. Kevin Kaufmann will officiate and burial will be in the Devils Lake Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with the family present from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Adel Grina was born on August 18, 1911 at Felton, Minnesota, the second of the three children born to Lars and Pansy (Gilbert) Grina. In 1915, Adel moved with her family to Moorhead, Minnesota where she attended school, graduating from Moorhead High School in the class of 1929. She graduated from Moorhead State Teacher’s College in 1933, with a major in French and History and a minor in Social Studies and was a member of the Gamma Nu Sorority.
She taught school at Leonard, Garrison and Starkweather, North Dakota and substituted in the Devils Lake Schools.
Adel was united in marriage to Rueben B. Will on August 12, 1939 at the Grina summer home on Pelican Lake, Minnesota. They made their home in Garrison where Reuben was associated with the Garrison State Bank. They later moved to Minot and eventually to Devils Lake where they lived through the years. Mr. Will died on May 26, 1974.
Adel and Rueben had two children; son, Wayne married to Sharon (Walter) and daughter, Mary married to John Rutten. Adel devoted her life to caring for her husband and raising her children. Her most treasured and precious time was spent with her loving family and dear friends.

Mary Rutten and her husband, John of Devils Lake
Six Grandchildren: Jenny Monteverde, Marnie Will and David Will
Heide Medina and Margie Hannesson and Andrew Rutten
Nine Great Grandchildren
Brother: Iver A. Grina and his wife, Kathryn of McMinnville, Oregon
Sister-In-Law: Sylvia Stevens of Garrison, ND
Several Nieces and Nephews also survive
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rueben; brother, Gordon Grina
