Peter A. Goeser, 76 of rural Devils Lake, ND died on Saturday morning, November 26, 2005 at Mercy Hospital, Devils Lake. Mass of Christian Burial for Peter will be held on Friday, December 2, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, St. Michael, ND with Fr. Paul Ruge celebrating the Mass. Graveside Services will be held on Friday at 1:00 p.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery, rural Calio, ND. Friends may call at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with Rosary and Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. The Rosary will be led by the Knights of Columbus. Visitation on Friday will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral Mass. Serving as Casket Bearers will be Peter’s Nephews, Rodney Goeser, Loren Goeser, Alan Goeser and Brian Goeser. Reading the Scriptures will be George and Rose Goeser Gift Bearers will be Maurice and Bernalda Goeser Eucharistic Minister will be Owen Goeser. Peter A. Goeser was born on December 30, 1928 in Trier Township, rural Calio, ND the son of Chrysanth and Rose (Wengler) Goeser. He attended the Trier Country School, Clyde School and St. Mary’s Academy in Devils Lake. He farmed the family farm, rural Calio until 1960 when he began working for Kurtz Construction, Devils Lake. Peter was united in marriage to Rebecca C. Jetty on December 29, 1960 in Devils Lake where they established their home. In 1966, they moved to Minnesota where Peter did construction work and then in 1971 returned to the family farm. In 1990, Peter retired and moved to the Devils Lake area. While living in Devils Lake he did handy man jobs for friends up until the time of his death. Rebecca died on May 15, 2000. Peter was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church and a lifetime member of the NRA and the Knights of Columbus. May Peter rest in peace. Peter is survived by his Step Daughter: Janet Whiteside of Bismarck, ND Step Grandson: Aaron Whiteside of Minneapolis, Minnesota Brothers and Sisters-In-Law: Ernest and Beatrice Goeser, Munich, ND George and Rose Goeser, also of Munich Maurice and Bernalda Goeser, Upsala, MN Owen and Betty Goeser, Munich Several Nieces, Nephews and Many Friends also survive.
