Theodore A. Kartes

Theodore A. Kartes, 72 of Devils Lake, ND died early Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at Good Samaritan Center, Devils Lake. Mass of Christian Burial for Ted will be held on Monday, November 14, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake, ND. Fr. Joseph Christensen will celebrate the Mass. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday at 1:00 p.m. at St. Clotilde Catholic Cemetery, Milton, ND. Friends may call at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Theodore A. Kartes was born on August 16, 1933 at Milton, ND the son of William H. and O’Thilda (Koehmstedt) Kartes. He was reared in the Milton area. He lived at the Grafton Developmental Center and later moved to a Lake Region Corp Group Home in Devils Lake to be closer to family, his sister Dalores. In October of 2005, Ted moved to the Good Samaritan Center. Ted was a former member of St. Clotilde Catholic Church, Milton and at present was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Devils Lake. Ted was a kind and gentle man who made many friends where ever he lived. May Ted rest in peace. Ted is survived by his sister, Rita Staffne, Grafton Several Nieces and Nephews also survive Many dear friends He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Servanus, Norman and Calvin Kartes; sisters, Eunice Kartes, Imelda Kartes and Dalores Kartes.
