Paul L. Reeves, 94, Tolna, ND died on Sunday, October 2, 2005 at the Heartland Care Center, Devils Lake, ND.
Funeral Services for Paul will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Warwick Lutheran Church, Warwick, ND. Rev. David Nichols will officiate and burial will be in the Warwick Cemetery. Military Honors will be accorded by the Tolna American Legion Post #162.
Friends may call at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with the family present from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and then on Wednesday at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.
Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be: Dale Gillett, Kevin Gillett, Tim Gillett, Clifford Reeves, Jr., Rodney Keller, Rodney Ivesdal, Kenneth Boe and Jerry Reeves.

Paul LeRoy Reeves was born on August 29, 1911 on the farm, rural Warwick, ND the son of Clyde and Eva (Long) Reeves. He attended school at Free People Country School and also Warwick Public School. He worked on farms in Washington and Missouri for a time. He returned to North Dakota and began working for Gene Wood at Minot. This is where he learned to run the Dragline. Paul entered the United States Army on April 11, 1942 and served his country during World War II, stationed in Alaska for 32 months. He worked as a heavy equipment operator. After his honorable discharge, Paul returned to the Warwick area and farmed with the Reeves Brothers on their father’s farm. He bought his own farm north of Tolna where he lived and worked through the years. In November of 2003 he moved to Devils Lake due to health problems. Paul never married but considered the Roger Gillett family, who helped him with the farming, as his family. He later sold his farm to the Gilletts’.
Paul was a member of the Warwick Lutheran Church and also the Tolna American Legion.
Paul was known for his ability to fix anything that was metal, including old and broken machinery and was also an excellent welder. But his most treasured time was spent visiting with his dear family and many friends and neighbors.

Brother and Sister-in-law, Frank “Jack” and Eunice Reeves, Devils Lake
Many Nieces, Nephews, Grand Nieces and Grand Nephews also survive.
Special Friends, Roger and Bonnie Gillett, Tolna, ND and their sons, Dale (Carolyn) Gillett, Kevin (Lisa) Gillett, Tim (Melissa) Gillett and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother-in-law, Lola and Knute Boe and brother and sister-in-law, Edward “Bill” and Beatrice Reeves.
