Myrtle M. Timmons, 93 of Devils Lake, ND formerly of Renton, Washington died on Friday morning, August 19, 2005 at Mercy Hospital, Devils Lake.
Funeral Services for Myrtle will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Devils Lake. Rev. Harold Ovre will officiate and burial will be in the family plot in Devils Lake Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with the family present from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Visitation on Wednesday will be at the church one hour prior to services.
Casket Bearers for Myrtle’s service will be Kenneth Huffman, Robert Ortblad, Vernon Moen, Harold Fetting, Ray Bryn and Richard Halldorson.
Myrtle M. Moen was born on April 8, 1912 in Grand Harbor, ND, the daughter of Ole A. and Ottillie (Fetting) Moen. She was reared in Grand Harbor and educated at Grand Harbor Elementary School and graduated from Devils Lake Central High School. Myrtle worked in the dry cleaning business in Devils Lake, Ada, Minnesota and Renton. She was united in marriage to Howard M. Timmons in 1951. They established their home in Renton, Washington where they lived for 23 years. Howard died on October 1, 1974. After his death, Myrtle returned to Devils Lake where she made her home through the years.
Myrtle was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church and WELCA.
Myrtle is survived by her
Sisters: Frances Ortblad, Seattle, Washington
Norma Huffman and her husband, John of Bothell, Washington
Many Nieces, Nephews and cousins also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard; brothers, Norman and Walter Moen; sisters, Alvina and Ella Moen.
