Irene G. Klick, 94 of Devils Lake, ND died early Saturday morning, October 8, 2005 at the Good Samaritan Center, Devils Lake.
Funeral Services for Irene will be held on Friday, October 14, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Devils Lake. Rev. Harold Ovre will officiate and burial will be in the Devils Lake Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. with the family present from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and visitation at the church will be Friday one hour prior to the funeral service.
Serving as Casket Bearers will be Scott Schmidt, JC Armentrout, Michael Armentrout, Kirwin Huffman, Justin Armentrout, Terry Armentrout and Josh Armentrout.

Irene Gladys Curry was born on October 8, 1911 in Billings Township, Cavalier County, rural Nekoma, North Dakota, the daughter of Peter and Violet (Creighton) Curry. She was reared and educated in the Nekoma area, attending Billings Township School #4 and then graduating from Nekoma High School on May 31, 1929. After graduating, Irene worked for area threshing crews in the cook car and also worked as a housekeeper and child care provider for several area families. On December 31, 1934 Irene was united in marriage to Morris Hanson at Langdon, ND. They established their home in Nekoma and later moved to Loma, ND and in 1941 moved to Devils Lake. Morris died in 1952. After moving to Devils Lake, Irene worked at the Hocking farm where she met and married Henry W. Klick on June 21, 1947 in Devils Lake. They established their home in Devils Lake and Irene worked for Lake Grocery. She also was employed in the Laundry Department at Mercy Hospital for many years until she retired. Henry died on March 18, 1979.
Irene was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church and WELCA and also the Rebekah Lodge.
She loved to crochet, tend her garden and flowers and loved animals. Even as she grew older, Irene was able to color pictures with such great detail and accuracy. She especially enjoyed visits from her dear family and friends.

Daughter: Barbara Armentrout of Bullhead City, Arizona
Son: Bruce Hanson and his wife, Barbara of San Diego, California
Grandchildren: Robin Huffman, Mark (Penny) Armentrout, Monte Armentrout, Harold Armentrout, Brad Armentrout, Todd Armentrout, Denise (Jeff) Maulden and Derek Hanson.

Preceded in death by her parents; husbands; grandchildren, Jim Armentrout, Terry Armentrout and Roxanne Armentrout; brothers, Hugh Curry, Willis Curry and Harold Curry; sisters, Alice Eng and Beatrice Curry.
