> Margaret Agatha, the daughter of Lawrence and Eva (Schall) Jaeger, was born on October 18, 1925 at home on a farm near Rugby, ND. She attended grade school in Silva ND and graduated from high school at St. Francis Academy in Hankinson, ND. She attended Minot State Teacher's College and received her teaching certificate. She taught for two years in a country school. In 1946 she moved to Devils Lake and worked at C&G Hardware.
> On September 30, 1947, Margaret was united in marriage to John T. Jager at Little Flower Catholic Church in Rugby. They established their home on the Albert Bell farm, 2 miles east of Devils Lake. In 1950, they moved to Devils Lake where they lived, worked and raised their family. After the children were all in school, Margaret worked part time at various jobs, including 25 years as a bookkeeper at Schwann Wholesale until she retired.
> Margaret was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Altar Society and the Infant of Prague Circle. She was also a member of the Forresters and was very active in Right to Life.
> Margaret had several hobbies she enjoyed, but playing cards was a particular favorite. She made sure she taught all of her grandchildren how to play pinochle and have fun at many different kinds of card games. But above all, Margaret was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and always put her family as a priority. She was a gracious hostess to many extended family gatherings on both sides of the family. She knew the importance of staying close to family and friends and knew that good food, good laughs shared and good memories made were key ingredients.
