Videll E. “Vi” Senger, 76 of Devils Lake, ND formerly of Billings, Montana died on Thursday, July 3, 2008 at the Good Samaritan Center, Devils Lake. Mass of Christian Burial for Vi will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Devils Lake. Fr. Dale Kinzler will celebrate the Mass and burial will be in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Gilbertson Funeral Home on Monday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary and Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation on Tuesday will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral Mass. Serving as Casket Bearers for Vi will be Kent Stonebraker, Frank Senger, Wallace Linde, Rich Volk, Marvin Linde and Jerry Rohrer. Reading the Scriptures will be Joyce Stonebraker Serving as Gift Bearers will be Kaye Volk and Katie Steffan Extraordinary Eucharistic Minister will be Irene Steffan Music will be provided by JoDee Lagein and Peter A. Hager Videll was born on March 24, 1932 at Dunseith, ND the daughter of Louis and Ella (Frovarp) Linde. Vi’s father worked for the railroad, so the family lived in Dunseith for a time then moved to Leeds, York and later to Devils Lake. Vi graduated from Devils Lake Central High School in the class of 1950. She worked as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone for several years. Videll was united in marriage to Wendelin Senger on November 24, 1952 at Devils Lake. They established their home in the Devils Lake area, moving to Montana in 1975 eventually settling in Billings. Vi worked as a Bank Teller for US Bank for 18 years, retiring in 1996. After retiring they returned to Devils Lake where they have continued to make their home through the years. Vi was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and St. Rita’s Circle. Vi loved gardening and knitting and shared the creations of those hobbies with her family and friends. She and Wendy enjoyed traveling and spending time with their children and grandchildren. Vi was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and left a legacy of faith and love of family and friends. She will be truly missed but never forgotten. Vi is survived by her husband of 55 years, Wendy Six Children: Becky Senger of Chicago, Illinois; Joyce and Kent Stonebraker of Glendale, Arizona; Barb Senger also of Glendale; Ken and Hiroko Senger of San Diego, California; Tom Senger of Devils Lake and Rita and Jerry Simpson of Glendale. Six Grandchildren: Jill and Kevin Davidson; Vicki and Jacob Hardy; Kelly Stonebraker, Tyler Stonebraker, Christopher Simpson and Ryan Simpson. Four Great Grandchildren: Damon Davidson, Julianna Davidson, Antonio Davidson and Lilliana Hardy Sisters: Mavis Dosch, Burlington, Washington and Lillian Koffler of Bismarck, ND Brothers: Wallace Linde and his wife, Joan of Fargo; Louis Linde and his wife, Phyllis of St. Cloud, Minnesota and Marvin Linde and his wife, Carol of Billings, Montana Many nieces, nephews and their families survive. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Percy Linde.
