Theodore “Ted” W. Shelver, 84 a life long resident of Devils Lake, ND died early Sunday morning, July 17, 2005 at Mercy Hospital, Devils Lake. Funeral Services for Ted will be held on Friday, July 22, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Devils Lake, ND. Rev. Harold Ovre will officiate and burial will be in the Devils Lake Cemetery. Music will be cared for by Russell and Lynda Pearson. Serving as pallbearers for Ted are: Chad Martinson, William Shelver, Michael Haa, Jared Fisher, Richard Schwab, Stewart Gessner and Duane Olson. Friends may call at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visitation on Friday will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. Theodore William Shelver was born on July 13, 1921 in Devils Lake, ND the son of Thorvold and Thea (Bakkeland) Shelver. Ted graduated from Central High School in 1938 and was a life long resident of Devils Lake. Ted farmed east of Devils Lake on the family farm for all of his working life. He was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church, 60 year member of the Elks Lodge, and a member of the North Dakota Seventh Cavalry. Ted is survived by his children: Linda Brown and husband, Tom of Colorado Springs, Colorado Connie Cook and husband, Dave of Dallas, Texas Randy Haa and husband, Paul of Vancouver, Washington Dave Shelver and wife, Sandra of Canon City, Colorado JoAnn Fisher and husband, Ron of St. Anthony, North Dakota Thirteen Grandchildren Seven Great Grandchildren
