Tollef Ivesdal, 95 of Edmore, ND died on Thursday, March 10, 2005 at the Good Samaritan Center of Park River, ND.
Funeral Services for Tollef will be held on Monday, March 14, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Living Word Free Lutheran Church, Edmore, North Dakota. Rev. Craig Wentzel will officiate and burial will be in the Prospect Cemetery, rural Edmore in the spring.
Friends may call at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation on Monday will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.
Serving as Pallbearers will be: John Adsem, Larry Knoke, Steve Ivesdal, Melford Brekke, Terry Eckes, Bruce Johnson, Frank Ingulsrud and Lamar Anderson.
Music will be cared for by: Heidi Ivesdal, Soloist and Pam Landsem, Soloist and Organist
Tollef Ivesdal was born on July 4, 1909 in Prospect Township, rural Edmore, the son of Lars and Martha (Haug) Ivesdal. He was reared and educated in Prospect Township and graduated from Edmore High School in the class of 1928. He attended the Hanson Mechanics School in Fargo. He then moved to California for a time. Tollef was united in marriage to Myrtle Landsem on June 14, 1940 at rural Edmore. They established their home on the farm in Prospect Township where they lived, farmed and raised their family. In 1967, they retired and moved to Edmore. They later lived in the Edmore Memorial Rest Home. Myrtle died on April 23, 2001.
Tollef was a member of the Living Word Free Lutheran Church. He also served on the Prospect Township Board, the Edmore Farmers Union Oil Company Board for 21 years and also the Lake Region Transport Board.
Tollef was an avid curler and served on the Board of the Edmore Curling Club for many years. He also especially enjoyed playing cards with his friends at the Senior Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Myrtle; sisters, Alice Lemke, Athalia Hammer, Myrtle Haggard, Ida Johnson and Juliet Hellekson.
