Mary G. Rohde, 66 of rural St. Michael formerly of Warwick, ND died on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at the Heartland Care Center, Devils Lake.
Funeral Services for Mary will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Warwick Lutheran Church, Devils Lake. Rev. David Nichols will officiate and burial will be in the Warwick Lutheran Cemetery in the spring.
Visitation will be held at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. David Lewis officiating.
Serving as Casket Bearers for Mary will be her grandchildren, Peter Denault, Michael Denault, Crystal Anderson, SSgt. David Thorstad, Kelly Thorstad, Trista Jerome, Joshua Anderson, Justin Anderson, Danielle Olson, Seth Lee, Johnathan Capp, Zach Ness, Spencer Ness, Jacovi Moore and Jolisa Rohde.
Mary Gertrude was born to Thor and Evelyn (Jackson) Peterson on February 17, 1941 in Kooskie, Idaho. At a young age she moved with her parents to Tacoma, Washington where they lived until 1947. They moved to Warwick were Mary grew up and attended grade school at Minco Valley School, rural Warwick and then graduated from Warwick High School. In 1976 she moved to Devils Lake and then in May of 1982 she moved to the Langdon area where she met and married Joe Rohde on February 25, 1983. Mary worked for a time at Sioux Manufacturing, Dakota Prairie Community Action Agency and the Good Samaritan Center until ill health forced her to retire. Mary was at one time married to Arvid Anderson.
Mary enjoyed gardening and was a wonderful cook. Mary loved any type of craft project and she and Joe were a part of many craft shows in North Dakota, Minnesota and Montana. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and dear friend to many and will be so very missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Joe of St. Michael

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jerry Peterson; son-in-law, Jerry Jerome and grandson, Tyler Anderson.
