Nicole L. “Nikki” Baer, 22 of Wood Lake, ND died on Monday, April 2, 2007 at Mercy Hospital, Devils Lake.
Mass of Christian Burial for Nikki will be held on Monday, April 9, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, St. Michael, ND. Fr. Paul Ruge will celebrate the Mass and burial will be in St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church on Sunday, April 8, 2007 beginning at 7:00 p.m. with the Rosary at 8:00 p.m.
The procession to St. Michael’s Catholic Church will leave the Wal-Mart Parking Lot on Sunday at 6:00 p.m.
Serving as Casket Bearers will be Paul Matheny, Mark Matheny, John Gaking, Andrew Azure, Jason Thompson and L.P. King.
Honorary Bearers will be all of Nikki’s many friends and family.
Nicole Lee was born at Grand Forks, ND on July 12, 1984, the daughter of Rock Baer and Myrna Whiteshield. She lived most of her life in the Wood Lake area with her father and grandmother, Rosalie. She attended school at Four Winds in Fort Totten and Warwick Public School. She received her GED while living in Minnesota and she also worked in a nursing home there. She returned to the Wood Lake area and worked at the Good Samaritan Center and also Heartland Care Center both in Devils Lake. She also worked at the Spirit Lake Casino and Resort. Nikki was presently attending Little Hoop Community College, Fort Totten working toward her goal of a degree in nursing.
Nikki was a devoted mother and caregiver and her loving, caring ways will be greatly missed. Our dear Nikki will be forever in our hearts.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Rudolph “Bud” Baer and brothers, Dalton Whiteshield and Dillon Whiteshield.
