John Isaacson

John Isaacson, 70, Devils Lake, ND, died Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at the Heartland Care Center, Devils Lake. A Memorial Service for John will be held Monday, February 25th at 6:30 p.m. in the Gilbertson Funeral Home Chapel, Devils Lake. Rev. Bill Reck will officiate and burial will be in the Perth Cemetery, Perth, ND in the spring. John Isaacson was born to Lester and Sybil (Strandness) Isaacson on August 24, 1937 in Rugby, North Dakota. He was raised to early adulthood by his paternal grandmother, Carrie in Perth, ND. For the past 20 years he has resided in the REM group home in Devils Lake. Johnny loved music and he loved to eat. He also always made sure the house was in order. Johnny is survived by his brother, David Isaacson and his wife, Marilyn of Verona, ND and his sister, Marilyn Tarkiainen and her husband, Reino of Sherwood, Oregon Several nieces, nephews and their families also survive. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Eugene Isaacson.
