Tina Marie Halvorson

Tina M. Halvorson, 46 of Dickinson, North Dakota died on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at her home. Funeral Services for Tina will be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Devils Lake with Rev. Jamie Desai officiating. Friends may call at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Tuesday at the church one hour prior to the service. Serving as Casket Bearers will be Megan Parrish, Alicia Parrish, Lana Mascarena, Mike Haas, Amanda Haas and Kim Morin. Tina Marie Knigge was born on December 28, 1961 at Fort Collins, Colorado, the daughter of Vernon and Dorothy (Hager) Knigge. She attended school in Fargo and Great Falls, Montana. She worked as a waitress, bartender and also as a housekeeper in several various jobs. She traveled extensively in her younger years until ill health made travel difficult. Tina was united in marriage to Clifton Halvorson on September 22, 2006 at Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho and they established their home in Dickinson. Tina then made caring for her husband, her family and her home her full-time job. Tina had many pastimes and hobbies. She loved doing all types of craft projects and she had an eye for interior design and enjoyed putting her talent to work in her home. She loved to shop in stores or by TV and it gave her joy to be able to shop for that very special gift for her family and friends. Tina was a fun loving, thoughtful, generous person. She always thought of her husband, son, sister and brothers and friends first. She loved to buy special cards and send them to her mother, sister and family. She lived life to the fullest when she was well. She also had pets that she loved deeply and always tried to help anyone in need. Tina is survived by her husband, Clifton of Dickinson Son: Benjamin Gange, Bismarck, ND Mother: Dorothy Parrish, Crary, ND Step-Father: Tim Parrish, Great Falls, Montana Step Children: Kristie (Jerome) Joyce, Tioga, ND Chad Halvorson, Farmington, New Mexico Nathan Halvorson, Lignite, ND Grandchildren: Shelby, Zachary, Jesse, Sheldon, Courtney, Denver and Kaylee Father-In-Law: Kenneth Halvorson, Dickinson Sister: Candace Knigge, Petersburg, ND Brothers: Brian (Mary) Knigge, Oregon Shane (Laurie) Parrish, Michael Parrish both of Crary Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins also survive. She was preceded in death by her father, Vernon; mother-in-law, Joyce Halvorson and step-father, Robert Lang.
