Myron L.Wanna Sr., age 43 of Fort Totten, ND passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2009 at Mercy Hospital, Devils Lake from injuries sustained in a car accident. Mass of Christian Burial for Myron will be held on Friday, May 29, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Seven Dolors Catholic Church, Fort Totten. Fr. Charles Leute, O.P. will celebrate the Mass and burial will be in St. Jerome’s Catholic Cemetery, rural Crow Hill, ND. A Wake and Prayer Service will be held at Fort Totten Recreation Center on Thursday beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary and Scripture Service at 8:00 p.m. The procession to Fort Totten will leave at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday from Wal-Mart Lot. Serving as Casket Bearers for Myron will be Howard Wanna Sr., Gerald Wanna Jr., Gerald Allard, Daniel ManyRibs Sr., Darren Demarce, Jon Keplin, Andrew Saari Jr. and John Dauphinais. Honorary Bearers will be Chad Wanna, Alex Wanna, Joseph Johnson Jr., Pat Lawrence, B.J. Adams, Darrel Lawrence, Kenny Lohnes, David Riggle, Kenny Baker Sr., Oliver Dauphinais, Greg Green, Sylvester Littlewind, Kenny Baker Jr., Howard Wanna Jr. and Daniel ManyRibs Jr. and all of Myron’s dear friends. If we overlooked a special friend, it was not intentional and we ask your forgiveness as we make our way through this very difficult time. A special thank you to Darrel ThreeIrons and the Spirit Lake EMS Responders and Spirit Lake Fire Department. Music will be provided by Diggits Frederick, Jeff Laducer, Sharon Keplin and the Spirit Lake Nation Drum Group. Myron Lee was born on August 22, 1965 at Belcourt, ND to Gerald and Patricia (Davis) Wanna. He was raised in Belcourt and Fort Totten and received his early education in Belcourt, later moving to Fort Totten with his father, Gerald Wanna Sr. He was employed by Sioux Manufacturing Company for 15 years. At the time of his death he was working construction. From 1990-1993, Myron and his family moved to Moorhead, MN where he worked for Capitol Concrete in Fargo, ND. Myron was united in marriage to Blanche Lambert in Devils Lake on December 22, 1995. They have three children, Keeman, Myron Jr. and Precious. Myron loved spending time with his children, new grandson, Keyson and family and friends. Myron especially enjoyed going on “dates” with his baby Precious, where they would play, walk and ride bike. He also loved wrestling, running, fishing and Tae Kwon Do. He was a quiet and gentle person. Myron is survived by his children, Keeman, Myron Jr. and Precious all of Fort Totten; father, Gerald Wanna Sr., Fort Totten; mother, Patricia Wanna, Belcourt; grandson, Keyson Littlewind, Fort Totten; brothers, Howard Wanna Sr., Fort Totten and Gerald Wanna Jr., Belcourt; sisters, Lisa Wanna, Minot, Leah Cook, Sheyenne, ND and Michelle Wanna, Belcourt; grandmother, Angie Wanna, Sisseton, South Dakota; Many aunts, uncles, nieces and a nephew also survive. Myron was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alex and Elizabeth Davis; Oliver Wanna and Rachel Charbonneau, grandson, Kenyon Littlewind and many uncles, aunts and cousins.
