Doreen Tabert

Doreen E. Tabert, 80 of Munich, ND died June 24, 2009 at Heartland Care Center, Devils Lake, ND. Funeral Services for Doreen will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Munich, ND. Rev. Charles Sheffler will officiate and burial will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, rural Munich. Friends may call at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Tuesday, June 30th from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Doreen’s family will serve as Casket Bearers. Doreen Elizabeth was born on July 29, 1928 to Arthur and Gertrude (Gebur) Wruck in Bottineau County. At the age of three, Doreen moved with her family to Huron Township. Doreen attended Huron Township School, Clyde School and graduated form Munich High School. On October 19, 1946, Doreen was united in marriage to Clifford F. Tabert. They resided on the family in Henderson Township until 1985 when they moved to a new house in Munich. Doreen was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, LWML and Christian Women. She enjoyed traveling, collecting Shawnee and gardening. Doreen is survived by her loving family; her children, Steven Tabert and his wife, Patricia of Asbury, New Jersey; Zane Tabert and his wife, Beth of Munich, ND; Holly Shirek and her husband, Galen of Yardley, Pennsylvania; Grandchildren: Shawna (Eric) Vliet and Paula Tabert; Benjamin Tabert, Drew Tabert and James Tabert; Sisters: Elaine Hanggi of Salem, Oregon and Nola Glock of Minot, ND; Numerous Nieces and Nephews and their families also survive. Doreen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Clifford on June 5, 2007; grandson, Ian Tabert; sister, Genevieve Meredith and brother, Donald Wruck.
