Edward Timothy Smith

Edward “Eddy” T. Smith, 68 of Sheyenne, ND died early Tuesday morning, March 29, 2005 at his home in Sheyenne. A Rosary and Prayer Service for Eddy will be held on Friday, April 1, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Jerome’s Catholic Church, rural Crow Hill, ND. Fr. Charles Leute O.P. will officiate and burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Sheyenne. Edward Timothy Smith was born on January 21, 1937 in Fort Totten, North Dakota the son of Alex and Mary Pearl (Lang) Smith. He attended elementary school at St. Michael’s Mission School. In 1950, he moved with his family to Tacoma, Washington where he attended Bellarmine High School. On November 24, 1956, Eddy married his wife of 48 years, Darlys K. Holland in Tacoma. They made their home in Tacoma where they lived and worked. In 1969, Eddy, Darlys and their five children returned to North Dakota and Eddy continued in the grocery business until retiring in 1996.
