Cynthia R. Miller, 45 of Devils Lake died on Saturday, March 26, 2005 at Mercy Hospital, Devils Lake, ND Funeral Services for Cynthia will be held on Friday, April 1, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake. Rev. Jamie Desai will officiate. Friends may call at the Gilbertson Funeral Home on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Cynthia Rae Rice was born on April 6, 1959 in Devils Lake, the daughter of Jerome and Sharon (Houth) Rice. At a young age she was adopted by Jerry and Patsy Seibel. She was reared and educated in Devils Lake and graduated from Devils Lake High School in 1977. She was at one time married to Jarvis Grant and John Hendrickson. She worked as a CNA at the Heartland Care Center for many years. Cindy was united in marriage to Scott Miller on June 23, 1995 at Watertown, South Dakota. They established their home in Devils Lake. Cindy devoted her life to raising her six children. Her greatest joys came from time she spent with her family. Cindy is survived by her husband, Scott Children: Michelle Grant Josh Grant Bethany Grant Sarah Hendrickson Chelsey Hendrickson John Hendrickson all of Devils Lake. Grandchildren: Alli Grant, Bailee Banet, Carson Grant and one soon to be born Adoptive Father: Jerry Seibel Brothers: Randy Rice, San Diego, California Dale (Karla) Seibel, Fargo, ND Sister: Carol Grey Water, Fort Totten, ND Adopted Brothers: Michael (Carol) Seibel, Devils Lake Mitch (Lynette) Seibel, Jamestown, ND Adopted Sister: Shawn Seibel, Devils Lake Several Nieces and Nephews Fathers to her children: Jarvis Grant and John Hendrickson both of Devils Lake Special Canine Friend: Comet She was preceded in death by her parents; adoptive mother, Patsy “Pat” Seibel; grandmother, Mabel Rice and a twin sibling at birth.
