Ann Clemenson, 97, died Friday, May 28 at Heartland Care Center under the care of Lake Region Hospice in Devils Lake, ND.
Ann Marie was born on November 15, 1912 in Stoughton, Wisconsin to Hans and Ragnhild (Skaar) Bolstad. The family moved to Lawton, ND in 1919. Ann was graduated from Lawton High School in 1931 and worked in Mayville, ND. She was married in Mayville to Clifford Clemenson on October 26, 1941. While Clifford served in World War II, Ann remained in Devils Lake, ND. She worked in a local dime store and at Bloughs. She owned and operated the hat department in Rand’s for several years before finishing her working career at Bell Drugstore.
Ann is survived by brother-in-law, Merlen (Sonja) Clemenson, Devils Lake, ND; nephews, Richard (Marilyn) Davison, Bismarck; Dennis (Paulette) Clemenson, Devils Lake; John (Kathy) Clemenson, Sioux Falls, SD; Dr. Steven (Dianna) Clemenson, Fargo, ND ; nieces , Judy (Tom) Jenkins, Moorhead, MN; Karen (Ken) Christianson, Valley City, ND; Vicki Smith, Devils Lake, ND; Jane (Steve) Brandt, Cedar Rapids, IA and Laurie (Bill) Meyer, Grand Forks, ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clifford Clemenson; brother, Henry Bolstad; sister and brother-in-law, Inga ( Roy) Davison and brother-in law/sister-in-law, Wilbur (Edna) Clemenson; nephew, Donald H.Davison and his wife, Zella.
Funeral services will be at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Devils Lake on Thursday, June 3 at 11AM with visitation from 9-11AM prior to the services all at the church. Interment will be at Devils Lake Cemetery following the services.
Serving as Honorary Bearers for Ann will be all of her Grand Nephews and Grand Nieces.
Music will be provided by Sarah Nicla, soloist and Lynda Pearson, organist.
Memorials may be given to the Clifford and Ann Clemenson Memorial Scholarship Fund at Lake Region State College or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
