Richard “Chaske” Greyhorn, 73 of Fort Totten, born on February 12, 1933 and entered the Spirit World, Monday, May 1, 2006 at his home.
Mass of Christian Burial for Chaske will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, St. Michael, ND. Fr. Charles Leute, O.P. and Fr. Paul Ruge will concelebrate the Mass. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery with Military Honors accorded by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #6547.
Visitation for Chaske will be held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church on Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 8:00 p.m.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Joseph Lawrence, Sr., Raymond Cavanaugh, Allen McKay, Norbert Fournier, Andy Shaw, Vincent Greyhorn, Jr. and Rocky Littlewind.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Solomon Sherman, Verle Greywater, Irene Littlewind, Raymond Sherman, Cora Iceman, Stella Cavanaugh, Juanita Giron-Vargas, Gerald Wanna, Duane Deegan, Mike and Pauline Greywater and All Spirit Lake Elders.
Richard Paul Greyhorn was born February 12, 1933 to Aloysius and Regina (Jones) Greyhorn in Fort Totten, ND. Richard attended school in St. Michael and Fort Totten.
In 1957, Richard enlisted in the United States Army and served during the Korean War. After discharge, Chaske returned to North Dakota for a short period of time. After leaving North Dakota, he relocated to Crow Agency, Montana and established his home there for several years. In 1990, Chaske returned to the Fort Totten area where he resided until the time of his death.
Chaske was known to many for his joking and uncounted laughs. Chaske touched many hearts and will be greatly missed by all.
He is survived by his Brother; Vincent Greyhorn, Sr. and his wife, Belva, St. Michael

Darlene “Dee-Dee” Wadsworth and her husband, Tony, St. Michael

He was preceded in death by his parents, Aloysius and Regina Greyhorn; adopted parents, Frank and Mary Greyhorn; brother, Edward Greyhorn.
