Florence Onebear

Florence Onebear, 80, Tokio, ND died Sunday, March 26, 2006 in Heartland Care Center, Devils Lake. Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 31, 2006 at Dacotah Oyate Lutheran Church, Tokio, ND with Pastor Larry Thiele officiating. Burial will be in the Dacotah Oyate Lutheran Church Cemetery. A Wake and Prayer Service will be Thursday, March 30, 2006 beginning at 5:00 p.m. also at the church, with a procession leaving from Wal-mart at 4:00 p.m. Serving as Casket Bearers will be Mike Onebear, Lincoln Redroad, Daniel Redroad, Robert Redroad, Jr. Casey Redroad and Blaine Leftbear. Honorary Casket Bearers are Rosalie Baer, Eunice Greene, Priscilla Touche, Evelyn Ross, Ernestine Herman, Sam Merrick, Chuck Greywater, Catherine Thompson, and Melinda Thompson. Florence Onebear was born October 8, 1925 to Jacob and Martha (Crow) Onebear at Tokio, ND where she was reared and educated. She was employed at Mercy Hospital from November 5, 1969 to July 6, 1977. Florence also worked at Sioux Manufacturing for several years and at the Devils Lake Nursing Homes for a number of years. She had enjoyed several pastimes and especially enjoyed making Star Quilts. Florence is survived by her nephews, Daniel and Lincoln Redroad; Grandchildren Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Martha Onebear; daughter, Beverly Onebear; brother, Henry Onebear; sister, Alice Redroad; nephews, Robert Sr. and Russell Redroad; and niece, Sharon Thundershield.
