Bernard D. Graham, 69 of Devils Lake, ND formerly of Enfield, Connecticut died on Saturday, January 14, 2006 at Heartland Care Center, Devils Lake with his family and wife by his side after a courageous six year battle with cancer.
Funeral Services for Bernard will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake with Fr. C.F. Wilhelm officiating. Military Honors will be accorded by the Neathery-Simensen Post #756, Devils Lake Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Friends may call at the Gilbertson Funeral Home on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.

Bernard Dale Graham was born on March 19, 1936 at Ashland, Maine the son of Lyman and Janie Curtiss. Bernard joined the United States Army at the age of 18. He served his country in Vietnam and made the Army his career. He retired in 1974 after 20 years of service with the rank of Master Sergeant.
Bernard was united in marriage to Bernadette Hamley on August 31, 1984 in Enfield, Connecticut where they established their home. In 1988, they moved to North Dakota living in Belcourt, ND and then moving to Devils Lake. Bernard worked for Turtle Mountain Manufacturing and Sioux Manufacturing. He also worked at K-Mart for a time.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Bernard loved children, especially all his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He liked to fish, watch TV, travel and working outside in his yard. He considered time spent with his family as his most precious.
Bernard was a loving husband, father, grandfather and son.
