Delvin was an outstanding and excellent basketball player; his moves on the court were exemplary. Delvin was known for his three-pointers and lay-ups, his abilities proved that he was and always will be a Four Winds Legend. While in high school Delvin met Amy Henry and together they had two sons Delvin Jr. and Devin. Delvin was employed at SMC for a short time in the early 1990’s, he then worked at the Spirit Lake Casino and Resort where he started out as a slot technician and through hard work moved up the ladder to become a shift manager. Delvin was an excellent employee and took a lot of pride in working for our very own Tribal Entity. In 2001 Delvin was elected to serve on the Tribal Council as the Fort Totten District Representative but resigned shortly thereafter due to health reasons. Delvin served his community and was a leader in many ways. In 1992 Delvin met the love of his life Dyan Jorgenson and they were married on July 14, 2001, together they had four children, Danacia, Dawndra, Dacey, and Davin “baby boy”. Delvin was very athletic and an out going individual until diabetes slowed him down but he still always had a story or joke to share. He was a devoted, loving husband, father and friend. He enjoyed being surrounded by his family and friends sharing countless crazy stories and pranks he and his buddies played on each other. Delvin will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him but will remain in our hearts and memories forever.
