Frank R. MacDonald Sr.

Frank R. MacDonald Sr., 59 of Devils Lake, ND died on Tuesday morning, March 28, 2006 at his home. Funeral Services for Frank will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at the Tekakwitha Center, St. Michael, ND Fr. Paul Ruge will officiate and burial will be later in St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery next to his dear son, Frank Jr. Friends may call at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and on Saturday at the Tekakwitha Center one hour prior to the funeral service. The procession to the Tekakwitha Center will leave the Wal-Mart Parking Lot at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Serving as Casket Bearers for Frank will be Mark Matheny, Paul Matheny, Bill Klein, Chris Barr, Doug Longie and Joe Teel III. Honorary Pallbearers will be All of Frank’s Many Friends. Frank R. MacDonald was born on June 17, 1946 in Portland, Oregon the son of Frank L. and Catherine (Cavanaugh) MacDonald. He was reared and educated in Oregon, graduating from Estacada High School. He worked construction and manufacturing most of his life, including employment at Dakota Tribal Industries and Sioux Manufacturing of Fort Totten. For the past five years, Frank has been employed at the Spirit Lake Casino and Resort. Frank had a very unique sense of humor and was quite a jokester. He loved to play cards and was the ultimate Raiders fan. Frank is survived by his mother, Catherine MacDonald of Devils Lake Sister: Henrietta Brooks also of Devils Lake Daughter: Danielle Bettencourt of Fresno, California Two Grandchildren He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Locke MacDonald and son, Frank Lawrence MacDonald in October of 2005.
