Luke G. Bigtrack, 55 of Fort Totten, ND began his journey to the Spirit World on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at the Good Samaritan Center, Devils Lake.
A Wake will be held at the Fort Totten Recreation Center on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary and Prayer Service at 8:00 p.m.
Funeral Services for Luke will be held at Seven Dolors Catholic Church, Fort Totten on Thursday, November 20, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. Fr. Charles Leute, O.P. will celebrate the Mass and burial will be in St. Jerome’s Catholic Cemetery, rural Crow Hill, ND.
Music will be provided by the Rhythm Riders and any drum groups wishing to share their music.
The procession to the Fort Totten Recreation Center will leave on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
Casket Bearers for Luke will be Raymond Buckles, Justin Dubois, Busty McKay, Manuel Littlewind, Kim Robertson and Wesley Bigtrack.
Honorary Bearers will be All of Luke’s dear friends and relatives.
Luke George Bigtrack began his journey on earth on August 30, 1955 at Devils Lake, ND the son of Phillip and Mary Jane (Little) Bigtrack. He attended school at Fort Totten, St. Michael and Oberon, ND and also Flandreau, South Dakota. He graduated from the cooking school at the Ronan, Montana Job Corp. He returned to the Spirit Lake Nation and worked at Sioux Manufacturing for a time. Luke also was part of the building crew that built Dakota Tribal Industries and he was also employed there.
Luke enjoyed cleaning up yards and he also worked for various farmers in the area. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
