Andrea A. Feather, of Fort Totten, ND began her earthly journey on January 3, 1952. Andrea began her spiritual journey, with her loving family by her side, on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks. Wake Services for Andrea will begin on Friday, November 21, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. at the Tekakwitha Center, St. Michael, ND with a Rosary and Prayer Service at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. with burial in St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery. Fr. Brian Moen will celebrate the Mass. The procession to the Tekakwitha Center will leave on Friday at 4:00 p.m. Serving as Casket Bearers for Andrea will be Dallas Delorme, Chuck Redday, Kelsey Feather, Jeremy Dauphinais, Don Ray Guy Jr., Adrian Guy Jr., Dan Cavanaugh III, Roland Johnson, Chip Drake and William Foote. Honorary Bearers will be Yvonne Thompson, Chris Johnson, Valerie Yankton, Sandra Miller, Darlene Wadsworth, Sheila Thompson, Agnes (Micky) Diserley, Norbert and Violet Fournier, Laverne Littleghost, Bernadette “Punky” Brown, Carrie Redday, Carla Thunder, Susie Rainbow, Karen GreyEyes, Donna Eaglestaff, Catalina and Terry Herman, Julie King, Rena Anderson, Wigs Anderson, Andrea and Delmar Iceman, Doris Desjarlais,Philomine Corbine, Clarice Lawrence, Altru Staff of Altru Hospital, Dr. Ike Onyeka and nurse, Lucy for their kindness and compassion, Staff at Heartland Care Center who were so kind to Andrea during her brief stay, Devils Lake Ambulance Service and special thank you to Dr. Rayer. Music will be provided by the Spirit Lake Singers, Tony and Vina McDonald, Kihanna and Kara Diserly and Kevin Pederson. Andrea Ann was born to Angeline (Redday) and Andrew Feather. She attended school at the Wahpeton Indian School and graduated from Flandreau, South Dakota in 1971. She also attended two years of college for nursing in Huron, SD. Andrea made her home in Minneapolis, MN for several years before returning home to Fort Totten, ND. Andrea worked as a dispatcher for Fort Totten Police Department, a child care provider at Little Hoop Community College Day Care and in Housekeeping at the Spirit Lake Casino. Andrea was a very loving and caring person. She will be fondly remembered for her sense of humor and her ways of making people laugh. She loved to go to the Casino, play Bingo and visit with her Bingo buddies. Andrea loved her family very much and she was very proud of all her grandchildren. She will be missed by all who loved her. Andrea is survived by her special friend of 22 years, Daniel Cavanaugh II, Ft. Totten; Son, Kenneth (Sarah) Thompson, Cass Lake, MN; Daughter, Kendra (Ryan) Thompson, Ft. Totten; Adopted Daughter, Denise White; Brothers, Roger Feather, Ft. Totten, Tom Lee, Fargo, ND and Kevin (Barb) Lawrentz, Serena, IL; Brothers-In-Law, Paul (Joanne) Yankton, Crow Hill and Marty Alex, Ft. Totten; Sisters, Janice Feather, Moorhead, MN, Renita (Dallas) Delorme, St. Michael and Jennifer (Chip) Drake, Lakota; Sisters-In-Law, Dolly Azure, Jeanne (Leon) Reddog and Danielle (Willis) Herald all of Ft. Totten and Donna Jackson of Grand Forks; Grandchildren: Adrienne Feather, Darrick Herman, Alayna Herman, Cameron Feather Jr, Kaisha Feather and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Andrea was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Bonita Feather; children, Adrienne Feather, Shannon Feather and Cameron Feather; maternal grandparents, Joshua and Christine (Merrick) Redday and paternal grandparents, Charles and Howastin Mazakahomni.
