Our beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and dear friend, Francis William “Walls” Littleghost Jr., “Wanagi Cistina” (Little Ghost)42, of St. Michael, ND began his spiritual journey on Monday, June 8, 2009 at Mercy Hospital, Devils Lake surrounded by his loving and caring family and many dear friends.
A Wake for Francis will be held at the St. Michael’s Recreation Center, St. Michael, ND on Monday, June 15, 2009 beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary and Prayer Service at 8:00 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 16th at 10:00 a.m. Fr. Brian Moen and Fr. Charles Leute, O.P. will concelebrate the Mass and Francis will be laid to rest in St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery.
The procession to St. Michael will leave from Wal-Mart at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
Music will be provided by Tony and Vina McDonald, Rhythm Riders, Sundance Singers and Clifford Littlewind Singers.
Serving as Casket Bearers for Francis will be James Bear Jr., Tyson King, James Alberts, Joseph Blackboy Jr., Francis Chaske, Charlene Cavanaugh, Vanessa Cavanaugh and Myrna Whiteshield.
Honorary Bearers are Louie and Jeannie Chaske, Marie and Richard Thomas, James “Chopper” Lovejoy, Allison ConqueringBear, Michael DeMarce, Julia Ann Alberts, Karen LittleGhost and Jr. Herman, Laura Smith, Nicole Longie, Brian Alberts, Darren and Germaine DeMarce, Jackie Yankton, Steve Mitzel, Gerald Longie, Connie PoorBear, Veronica and Mary Leaf and Jana McDonald. If anyone was forgotten, please understand it was just an oversight as Francis had many friends who loved him and will miss him.
Francis William Littleghost was born January 15, 1967 to Francis and Helena (Waanatan) Littleghost. He attended school at St. Michael’s Little Flower School and also Trapper Creek School in Montana where he received his GED and certificate in carpentry.
Francis was employed at Dakota Sioux Casino and Bingo Hall as the Events Assistance Manager; manager of the Spirit Lake Marina, Sales Clerk at Mission Bay and was also a bus driver for the Elderly Center and the Boys and Girls Club at St. Michael. He was most recently employed at Spirit Lake Casino and Resort as a cook.
In 2002, Francis traveled to NASA in Orlando, Florida which was a trip of a lifetime for him. Our beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and dear friend will be greatly missed and was so loved by all of his family and friends. May he rest in peace.
