Ellen and Chester spent several winters in Arizona and enjoyed most of the Christmas holidays with Duane and Beverly in Roseburg. Ellen took a trip in 1995 with Duane and Lucile to Norway to visit her cousins, and afterwards she went on her first cruise with Beverly. You could find her spending hours doing crossword puzzles, watching her favorite game shows and making quilt tops for the missions. She loved the time she spent with the quilting group at St. Olaf Lutheran Church. In 2001, when Ellen’s health began to fail, Duane and Beverly moved her to Roseburg, Oregon where could be near them and receive extra care. It was then she found she loved doing jigsaw puzzles.
Ellen was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church, WELCA and Retired Teacher’s Association.
