Deanna Raye “Anna” Guy, 39, of Fort Totten, ND died on Sunday, September 21, 2008 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND. A Wake Service for Anna will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2008 beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the St. Michael’s Recreation Center, St. Michael, ND with a Prayer Service at 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial for Anna will be held on Friday, September 26, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael’s Church with burial in the Bdecan Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Tokio, ND. Pastor Larry Thiele and Fr. Brial Moen will officiate. Serving as Casket Bearers for Anna will be Donovan Lambert, Donray Guy, Adrian Lee Guy, Francis Littleghost, Justin Littleghost, Billy Decoteau and Derrick Guy. Honorary Bearers will be Shirley WhiteBird, Lisa Littleghost, Bonita Littleghost, Carla Littleghost, Roy Pettigrew, Denise Chaske, Bernice Chaske, Ronnie Feather and Virgil Feather. Deanna Raye was born on August 13, 1969 in Devils Lake, ND the daughter of Gerald Guy and Arlene Littleghost. She grew up in the Tokio area and attended school at St. Michael’s Mission School, Pierre Indian School, Four Winds and Warwick High School. She then moved to Minneapolis, MN and devoted her life to caring for her children. Because of failing health, she moved back to the Spirit Lake Nation to be closer to her family. Anna was an avid reader and especially liked novels. She was a very outdoors person who appreciated the beauty of nature. Anna is survived by her loving family which includes her mother, Arlene Lovejoy Gomez of Fort Totten; father, Gerald Guy of Tokio; Daughters, Demery Guy of Minneapolis, Roberta Bad Moccasin of Kansas City, Kansas, Memory Guy, Tiara Guy, Maria Guy all of Minneapolis and twin daughters, Elia and Eliza Guy of Fort Totten; sons, David Guy of Devils Lake and Miquel Guy of Minneapolis. Grandchildren: Shawn Ty Brown and Leon Samuel Guy Brothers and Sisters: Justin Littleghost, Sherri (Mark) Guy, Billy Decoteau, Richard Abrahamson, Jr., Ivy Lovejoy, Casey Lovejoy and Ashley Lovejoy. Many nieces, nephews and their families also survive. Uncles: Leroy Littleghost, Lawrence Littleghost, Lee Guy, Jerome Guy, Adrian Guy, Donray Guy, Ambrose Littleghost, Philip “Skip” Longie and Buddy Longie. Aunts: Ardell Guy, Mary Melinda Thompson, Pauline Greywater, Helena Littleghost, Elaine Robertson, Elizabeth Littleghost, LaVerne Peltier and Margie Ross. Cousins: All the BlueShield Girls and Lorna and Patty Dubois. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, James Littleghost and Eva Waanatan Littleghost and paternal grandparents, Frank and Cordelia Guy; brother, Gerald Guy Jr. and aunts, Violet BlueShield Littleghost and Rose Dubois Littleghost.
