Heidi Jo Anderson, 24 of Maddock formerly of Devils Lake, ND died on Tuesday morning as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in rural Benson County, ND. Mass of Christian Burial for Heidi will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Devils Lake. Fr. Dale Kinzler will celebrate the Mass and burial will be in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Gilbertson Funeral Home Chapel, Devils Lake on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation on Tuesday will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral Mass. Serving as Casket Bearers for Heidi will be Terry Spidahl, Bobby Skaro, John Anderson, Tracy Goulet, Rossie Goulet and Reggie Cavanaugh Sr. Honorary Bearers will be all of Heidi’s dear family and her many friends. Heidi Jo was born on November 12, 1984 at Cavalier, ND the loving daughter of Blaine Anderson and Tammie Goulet. She was reared and educated in Devils Lake and was a member of the Devils Lake High School class of 2003. After high school she attended Lake Region State College for a time. The last few years of Heidi’s life have been as a devoted, loving mother to her three children. For the past several months, she and the children have made their home in Maddock with her mother. Heidi was a friendly, fun loving, outgoing person. She was a friend to everyone she met and she always gave compassion, patience and understanding to both friend and stranger. She was a cheerleader for the underdog. She treasured each and every moment she was with her dear family, they meant everything to her. Heidi is survived by her three children, Terran Anderson age 5, Hannah May Abrahamson age 3 and Annisyn Anderson one month of age; Her mother, Tammie and her husband, Blair Pforr of Maddock; Father, Blaine Anderson of Bismarck; Sister: Hannah Anderson of Devils Lake; Half-sister, Clarice Brown of Fort Totten; Niece and Nephew: Anika Amie Cavanaugh and Reggie Wayne Cavanaugh Jr. Godparents: Tracy “Taz” Goulet and Brandy Popelka Special Grandmas: Grandma Faye and Grandma Byrdia Terran’s Dad and Friend, Terry Spidahl of Devils Lake Many aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. Heidi was preceded in death by her sister, Amie Anderson and grandparents, Orris and Marlene Goulet and Deloris and John Anderson.
